Hi Shanna! If the participants are using the latest updates (Chromebooks) they have added the ability to use almost all the features. The self-selection of breakout rooms is still not available. I usually struggle when the users are in charge of the updates themselves, so I like to include a link to the Download Center in my setup notes. But here is a link to the meeting features comparisons.
Hope this helps! ~ Donna
Thank you Donna! This helps greatly! Some people on my team are asking why we just don't force users to download the app, but I prefer them to have the option and, seeing the relatively small limitations, I will take this info to my team.
Thanks again!!!
Hi Shanna,
I haven't used the web app in a few months, but I recall the interface looking different to the app and there being a few other limitations. For instance I couldn't pin a person for their video or something similar and things like the chat window I don't have much choice about where it is, but that's the price of doing so inside a web browser.
Again, it's been a couple of months since I had anyone with a Chromebook attending my sessions, but when they did there were limitations on them using the whiteboard, so something to look into and test.
