oh the first few sessions i delivered i was so stock still! i didn't really move much and felt stilted. but since then i really got into the swing of being more natural on webinars. i've got my laptop on some books so i can stand and see the screen and move a bit more. People seem to respond a bit better as i think i come across more natural and energetic too.

Thank you for sharing, Angela, That's a really great insight.
It's good that you're noticing that people are responding better in session.
Do you find that by moving about a little more and being more natural you become more relaxed?
These are some really good and practical tips anyone facilitating virtual classrooms and webinars can apply.
Although I'd never thought about it, since having a sit/stand desk in my home office I prefer to stand because I can move around more.
(And yes, I am that guy that always turns on his camera during Skype calls)
Some really good points and basic tips for people just getting into it. I feel a lot of people underestimate how much of a performance they need to put on on to really get into the swing of delivering well with energy.
Jo often suggests to people that you should wear a smile when delivering online even with webcams off, the positive vibes really coome across in the delivery, I must admit when she first told me to do it I thought it would not work but it does really help!
