Naming your pods in Adobe Connect

Hi all,

This post equally applies to tabs in WebEx and perhaps filenames in other platforms.

I'm watching an Adobe Connect recording and as it opens, there are three pods at the bottom - two chat and a poll. The two chat windows had no names, but loads of comments. I didn't specifically know what they were covering. The content does give an indiciation, but it's not really clear.

When I scrolled up the chat pods, which I could in the Adobe Connect recording software, other software is different, I saw that the question had been written at the top:

Having the question written in the pod is excellent practice. Putting the same or similar version of that question as the pod name too means that it gets over the issue I had of not knowing the topic or question. It also means if you are setting up or tidying up an Adobe Connect room it's easier to know which chat pod is which.

To rename it, you need to be in the HOST role and just double click in the title bar.

This applies similarly to WebEx Meeting and Training Centre too, as you can rename the tabs at the top of the screen.

The basic idea here is to make it super easy for your users to know what is going on!
