I have been asked about trying to add fun in to webinars and other than having a private dance in your office at home, adding music and interactions on a whiteboard...what would you do to allow peple feel the webinar was fun, engaging and memorable?
Thanks all in advance

Hi Lizzie,
Thank you so much for a great question. I do love the idea of a private dance in the office, at least it's not embarrassing on webcam!Â
The whiteboard is a great tool, and adding music can be a bonus. Do be aware with music though that if you are on a webinar it's a kind of broadcast, so if it's anything modern you would need a licence. If you Google "royalty free music" there's tonnes out there you can use.Â
The "fun" element comes with the design of the activities and how they are facilitated.Â
To give you some ideas, you might like the two Training Journal "Christmas party" webinars I designed and hosted over the last couple of years:
December 2016:Â TJÂ VIRTUAL CHRISTMAS PARTY!
December:Â TJÂ Virtual Christmas Party!
They include different 'games' to play, some better than others!Â
I think they key is to think about what you want to achieve from the activity, just like any learning activity, then with how many people you have, what the technology is you have available and design from there.Â
What do other's think, what are your design and delivery tips to help Lizzie?
