Hi all,
Mike and I had an interesting conversation yesterday, about how this group's messages should be displayed. We discussed and tried the options of "flat" and "threaded". Threaded is how it is now and we think makes it easier to see the little sub-conversations that come from the main discussion posting.
The bigger debate we had was whether the comments within a discussion point should be "newest on top" or "oldest on top". For the last couple of weeks it's been "newest on top" so that you saw the latest reply to a message.
Mike's point was that he felt it was better to be "oldest on top" as you can see the potential answer to a question or the follow the conversation thread in order, rather than seeing a disjointed comment having not perhaps read the previous messages.
Of course, you could argue that if you've followed the conversation you are then having to scroll through answers/pages to find the latest update...
So this brings us to you! You need to mediate the conversation Mike and I have been debating. Currently the group is set to "oldest on top" so that you follow the flow of conversation.
If you have different thoughts, or any community feedback at all, you are more than welcome to comment here or, of course get in contact privately. We also have our community@lightbulbmoment.info account if you would rather send feedback there than directly to Mike or myself :D
Let the discussions commence!

Hmmm, good question and good arguments. I think it's a personal preference. That being said... How does LinkedIn do it? Newest on top I think? I'd roll with what 'the big boys' use.
Good idea Jeff, looking at what big boys do is always wise! I'm also old school at heart and likely not down with the kids with how these moodern text conversations flow, give me an old style forum any day!
Personally I prefer oldest on top as I find it flows better.

Agree with Jeff!
I don't want to have to scroll to the bottom to see the latest news!
If there's a filter button that gives the user the choice then that would work too!
:) Cheers!
