Green screen in Zoom.us

Today Mike and I have been playing with recording video, including with a green screen.

One of the fun things about the Zoom webinar and virtual classroom platform is that there is an option on the webcam to use a virtual background. We tried that out and this is the result!

In case you are interested, this is the pop up green I bought from Amazon for £30.

As you can see from my tweet, I really loved this option - what do you think?

  • That looks like a lot of fun! Especially when Michael moved the green screen.

Perhaps it could be used to highlight a brand, in marketing webinars?

I found this on how to do it: http://www.lindsaympadilla.com/zoom/teachingwithzoom/virtualbackgro...

    Thank you, Bettie

    • Thanks Bettie.

    • That's a great article, thanks for sharing, Bettie.

  • I keep getting an error?

    • Oh no. Do you have something you are trying to embed? Maybe that's causing some kind of issue?

      • Yeah. I was trying to embed to this tweet;

        • Ah that's worked, which is great.

I tried to embed from the Twitter code, but something is stopping it.

Thanks for sharing anyway, it's worked now :D

          • Thanks Jo.

Yes, i was trying to say that this could be used with a picture of an animal, person or item to help demonstrate something!!

  • That was great fun today, we were using a cheap webcam green screen from Amazon (Other online shopping and delivery providers are available) and gave us some interesting results.

Could be  agreat option for some niche uses in webinars, especially for marketing!

  • I LOVE THIS! Wanted to swear in my response, but didn't think it was appropriate. That is exceptional fun content.

Learn-wise, maybe not in a professional setting: but in schools, this would be great!
