Does anyone know how restrictive the licence is with this in terms of if I am delivering as a host to say 10 people can a team mate log in to a different room (using my log on details) to build it ready for another session? We have a one host licence and 200 candidate licence? Any help much appreciated. Best regards Rich.Â

Hi Richard,
I think in Adobe Connect you can both login at the same time using the same host login details.Â
You should be able to prepare the room and then still have the actual faciliator login at the same time to host the session.
Jo might be able to shed more light on exactly how it works with the different licences in Adobe Connect.

Hi Richard,
Good question, and it's changed recently of how it works. This article describes it in detail: https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/adobe-connect/kb/named-host-license-upda...
Mike is right that you can login multiple times with the same user details. What could happen with this is that you could pay for one license, but have many people logging in and running webinar/virtual sessions. In Adobe's words: "Adobe has found that some users who license the Named Host model enable non-licensed users to initiate and host meetings without a licensed Named Host present. "
Adobe have locked down on this so if you want to run more than one room/event/session at the same time, you'll need two licences or more. So whilst you might be able to login twice to the same room/session, you won't be able to do anything in another room. By changing the way that Connect 9.3 works, in Adobe's words; "Adobe is engineering the product to operate in accordance with the Terms of Service."
Adobe also explain:
I recall reading somewhere that you could do as you describe, and there is perhaps a 30 minute overlap so that an over running session doesn't get closed and so on. I haven't tested it. It might work in emergency/short notice situations but obviously if you can plan ahead, then that will help.Â
If it's for a session you are due to run, and there are changes that need to be made, Adobe Connect's Prepare Mode is pretty awesome for your colleague to do this work: http://blogs.adobe.com/adobeconnect/2007/04/tips_and_tricks_prepare...
