This is some of the stuff we cover in our module 2 training, which is all about improving your activities.
This is technology best practice to keep in mind and go through with each of our activities:
This is technology best practice to keep in mind and go through with each of our activities:
- Have you taught the tool and participants actually used it?
- Have they used these tools together
- Have you introduced the activity
- Have you used the tool too much and need to use a different tool for this activity?
- Have you already done a similar version of this activity already?
- Will this activity work for the number of attendees in your session
By being aware and completing these steps we put ourselves and our participants in a much better position to get involved in an activity.
What we are looking at here is ensuring that our participants don’t have a technology barrier to taking part and that they understand the activity - both the learning aspect and how to get involved in the virtual platform. We also want to make sure that we aren’t boring people with doing the same thing or using the same tool over and over.
We'll be able to see people’s thoughts, opinions and questions easier. We can then acknowledge those, use them to inform what we do next in our session. All od this means that for the participant, and us, it won’t feel like getting involved was a waste of time.
